Hard surface 3D Artist

Hello!

At Play of Battle, we are looking for a candidate to fill the position of a 3D Artist to collaborate on the creation of a Grand Strategy/RTS game.

We are seeking a talented artist who will be responsible for creating 3D models.

Skills:

• Modeling and editing 3D models
• Creating complex and optimized shapes, meshes, and LODs
• Creating efficient UVs layouts, working with PBR texturing workflow
• Collaborate closely with the Art Leads and other Modelers to create highly detailed and visually compelling hard-surface assets, which primarily include vehicles but also weapons
• Understanding of graphical performance constraints on an AAA video game, including high and low poly environments

Bonus skills:

• Highly skilled in hard surface modeling
• Receive and apply feedback effectively while maintaining a positive attitude
• Interest and dedication to advancing your craft, and eagerness to learn new techniques and software
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure consistency and compliance for rigging and animation
• Ability to spot and fix issues on a mesh

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience working as a 3D Artist
• Professional Experience in the video game industry as a 3D Artist
• Experience with Unity engine
• Proficient in Blender, Substance Painter and Photoshop
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities:

As a 3D Artist, you will be responsible for:

• Modeling and editing beveled Hard Surface 3D models based on real life references.
• Creating complex and optimized shapes, meshes, and LODs of vehicles and weapons for RTS type of game
• Creating art assets from references and blueprints to final implementation in Unity.
• Creating efficient UVs layouts working with PBR texturing workflow
