We’re Lobah, an international Gaming company building a studio in Warsaw to shape the future of AA games with a soul!
We’re making a fast-paced, story-rich multiplayer FPS – and we’re looking for a passionate Senior Gameplay Designer to help bring our dystopian Arabic-inspired world to life. As our Gameplay Designer, you’ll join a team of experienced game creators here in Warsaw to create a dynamic, engaging game experience with quality worthy of a world forged in sand and honor.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Gameplay Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the combat experience of our upcoming title. Your expertise will guide the design and implementation of engaging combat mechanics, leveraging Unreal Engine's capabilities, particularly the Gameplay Ability System.

Responsibilities:
Design, prototype, and implement dynamic combat systems, including player abilities, weapons, and enemy behaviors
Utilize Unreal Engine 5 and the Gameplay Ability System to develop scalable and modular gameplay features
Collaborate with cross-functional teams – animation, programming, art, and audio – to ensure cohesive and immersive combat experiences
Balance and fine-tune combat mechanics based on playtesting feedback and data analysis
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for combat systems and gameplay features
Balance gameplay systems, economy, and difficulty progression to optimize player engagement and retention

What we’re looking for:
Minimum of 8 years in game design, with at least 2 years focused on combat design in multiplayer shooters
Proficiency in Unreal Engine, with hands-on experience using the Gameplay Ability System
Strong understanding of multiplayer game mechanics, player progression systems, and combat balancing
Solid experience with visual scripting (Blueprints) and multiplayer replication
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Fluency in English; ability to work in an international, fast-moving production environment
Ability to work at least partially in the Warsaw office

Skills:
Passion for first-person and third-person shooter games
Strong sense of gameplay feel, with skill in tuning weight, responsiveness, and feedback
Experience using VFX, SFX, and animation design to support storytelling
Experience with AI behavior design and implementation
