Key Responsibilities

Systems Architecture & Code Quality

• Conduct core reviews and collaborate with the team on improving CI/CD pipelines.,*
• Redesign or design existing modules to improve system stability and performance.,
• Design and enforce SOLID principles and test frameworks.

Platform Development & Reliability

• Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI Engineers to convert feature prototypes,
analytics modules and models into deployment-ready services.,
• Identify, triage, or prioritize, technical debt within the existing codebase.,
• Proactively identify and work with other engineers in addressing potential issues.,
• Implement robust logging, monitoring, and alerting practices.,

Required Qualifications

Experience / Qualifications:

• 3/4+ years of Python engineering with qualifications in Computer Sciences or
certifications equivalent.,
• Demonstrable experience working with data-heavy Python applications and decision-
support systems.,

Technical Expertise:

• Mastery of Python 3 (type hints, decorators, context managers, async,
multiprocessing).,
• Proven track record in either/both building complex systems or refactoring legacy
monoliths.,
• Strong grasp of FastAPI, Pydantic, PostgreSQL, and SQL repositories (Azure Cloud).,
• Excellent critical thinking skills in separating concerns, decoupling and building
maintainable code.,

Communication Skills

• Ability to communicate trade-offs between perfect and pragmatic solutions.,
• Strong verbal and communication skills to convert highly technical concepts into
accessible terminology for non-engineers.,

Preferred Skills and/or Qualifications

Domain Knowledge

• Prior experience in the video games or entertainment industry is highly desirable and
considered a significant advantage; inclusive of building toolsets (Animation), analytics
backends, and/or hobby projects.,

Artificial Intelligence

• Experience with Python libraries such as PyTorch/TensorFlow, Pandas, Numpy, and
other data-science related tools is highly desirable. Experience with Gen-AI API or
architecture is a plus but not mandatory; we are able to provide resources for internal
training.,

Data Pipelines

• Experience with data engineering concepts and tools, inclusive of ETL or scheduled
operations, is a plus.,

Open Source / Hobbies

• Contributions to open-source projects or personal hobby projects aligned with the video
games industry is a plus.,
