Join the Play of Battle Team – Marketing & Community Specialist

Play of Battle recently launched the first public demo of our modern Grand Strategy/RTS title on October 13th. Above 80 000 players have played the demo and our peak CCU on Steam reached 2 223. While our reveal trailer collected over 200 000 views before the demo launched.

We’re growing our studio and looking for a strategic, proactive Marketing & Community Specialist to lead our marketing and player-facing communication efforts. This is a key role with direct impact on our growth, visibility, and long-term success.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the marketing and communication strategy across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases.
  • Plan and manage campaigns on Steam, social media, influencers, and partnerships.
  • Track performance KPIs (wishlists, CTR, engagement, conversions) and optimize campaigns.
  • Moderate and grow our Discord server and social media channels (X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube Community).
  • Create and publish posts, patch notes, announcements, devlogs, and short-form content aligned with the studio’s tone and brand.
  • Prepare simple 2D graphics for social media (memes, banners, thumbnails, infographics).
  • Engage with the community, answer questions, collect feedback, surface issues.
  • Brief, produce, and review marketing assets (trailers, key art, store graphics).
  • Coordinate PR activities, press outreach, external communication, and influencer collaborations.
  • Collaborate with the art and production teams to align campaign beats with development milestones.
  • Coordinate merchandise production and communication with suppliers. -Prepare reports, forecasts, and data insights for leadership and investors.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing or social media – ideally in gamedev, entertainment, or tech.
  • Experience running social channels, communities, or multichannel campaigns.
  • Understanding of gaming culture and online community dynamics.
  • Strong communication and planning skills.
  • Data-driven mindset and ability to interpret KPIs.
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, Figma or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience promoting or launching a PC or console game.
  • Familiarity with the Steam ecosystem and analytics platforms (Discord insights, social media dashboards).
  • Experience moderating or growing large Discord communities.
  • Understanding of influencer workflows and paid media.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools and dashboards.
  • Basic video editing skills are a plus.
