Join the Play of Battle Team - VFX Artist - ON-SITE

At Play of Battle, we’re growing our studio and looking for a skilled and detail-oriented VFX Artist to create high-quality visual effects for our modern Grand Strategy/RTS title. This is a key role with direct impact on visual clarity, combat readability, and the overall cinematic feel of the game.

Your responsibilities:

• Creating new and adjusting existing realtime VFX in Unity using VFX Graph
• Creating all assets needed to portrait desired effects, including simulations
• Ownership over shaders used for VFX
• Taking care of visual integrity of all effects within the projects
• Communicating gameplay events and decisions with proper visuals
• Following optimization guidelines
• Creating and implementing Post Process effects
• Cooperating with other Artists, Programmers and Designers to deliver effects in their best shape and form

What we’re looking for:

• A person with 2+ years of production experience as a VFX artist or similar position
• Someone who can create mostly, but not only, realistic VFX
• An artist with a keen eye for detail and timing
• A person who can address and give a detailed feedback within the team

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Unity HDRP pipeline
• Experience with following software or equivalents: Embergen, Blender/Maya, Photoshop
• Knowledge of optimization techniques within VFX, textures, shaders and rendering
• Experience with source control software
• Experience with Jira or similar work management software
• Communicative english level

Nice to have:

• Experience with shaders outside of VFX spectrum
• Experience with lighting scenes
• Animation Skills or familiarity with animation systems within Unity
• Familiarity with Cinemachine and Timeline
• Substance Designer or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of writing HLSL shaders
