Movie Games S.A. is looking for a proactive and highly technical QA Manager to take full ownership of our quality assurance processes. As a publisher of Drug Dealer Simulator franchise, we need a leader who can elevate our QA standards to match our growing portfolio of indie and A games.
In this role, you will be the point of contact connecting QA strategy with execution and team management. You will be responsible for identifying process gaps, implementing suitable testing methodologies, and acting as the technical mentor for our testers. We are looking for a proactive lead who can independently identify team needs and establish high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Help us deliver great games in a predictable and feedback-rich environment through:
Organization & Process Optimization
- Standardizing test procedures and creating clear test strategy for each project.
- Expanding test coverage, including specialized areas such as accessibility and compliance testing.
Tools & Documentation Management
- Scheduling and carrying out test plans to support production goals
- Refining feedback and reporting formats to ensure clear, actionable communication from the QA team.
- Identifying and implementing tools to increase the overall efficiency of the QA department.
- Ensuring knowledge sharing to preserve competencies developed within the QA team.
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentoring the QA team, conducting regular 1-on-1s, and fostering professional growth
- Serving as the technical escalation point, providing expert troubleshooting support to the QA team
Essential Qualifications
- Deep Practical Expertise: Extensive technical and theoretical knowledge of QA role within the full game development lifecycle.
- Proactive Leadership: Proven ability to work independently, identify process flaws, and implement improvements without external guidance.
- Tech Savvy: Strong troubleshooting skills; you should be the person the team turns to when they hit a technical wall.
- Communication: Excellent command of both Polish and English to effectively manage internal team and liaison with stakeholders
- Assertive Quality Advocacy: Experience in making high-stakes decisions regarding build readiness and "go/no-go" scenarios for major releases.
Great to Have
- CQA Experience: Strong knowledge of console platform requirements and certification processes (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo).
- Multidisciplinary Knowledge: Foundational understanding of design or programming that allows you to support other departments.
- Portfolio Interest: A genuine interest in simulators, open-world games, or the specific genres Movie Games operates in.
