Join the Play of Battle Team - QA Specialist (on-site only)

At Play of Battle, we’re expanding our team and looking for a detail-oriented QA Specialist to help ensure the highest quality of our innovative Grand Strategy/RTS game. This is an opportunity to directly influence the player experience by identifying issues early, improving workflows, and supporting our dev team throughout production.

Your Responsibilities:

• Test core gameplay systems, UI, content, and tools across the entire project.
• Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
• Report, track, and verify bugs using our internal tools (Jira, Git).
• Collaborate closely with designers, programmers, and artists to ensure features meet quality standards.
• Support the development team in reproducing issues and validating fixes.
• Provide feedback on usability, balancing, and overall player experience.
• Contribute to improving QA processes and testing coverage.

Who You Are (The "Military Buff" Factor):
We aren’t just looking for a tester; we’re looking for a true fan of the genre.

• Passion for Strategy: You should be a genuine "military buff" with a deep interest in Grand Strategy, RTS, and simulation games.
• The "Genre Veteran" Proof: We want to see your passion in action. Whether it's through a link to your Steam profile or a screenshot of your library showing your playtime, be prepared to show us those hundreds (or thousands!) of hours spent in titles that define the genre. We will verify this during the recruitment process.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of QA experience in game development (PC strategy titles preferred).
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and bug-tracking workflows.
• Ability to reproduce issues reliably and communicate them clearly.
• Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with modern game engines (Unity or Unreal - Unity is a plus).
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience testing strategy, RTS, or simulation games.
• Experience with test case management systems.
• Knowledge of version control tools (Git).
• Understanding of configuration testing and hardware differences.
• Ability to identify systemic issues and propose improvements.
• Basic scripting knowledge is a plus (Python, C#, or similar).
