Storyboard Artist

Wojan Studio is looking for an experienced Storyboard Artist to help shape the storytelling and visual language of our upcoming 3D animated feature film.

As we build our animation team in Warsaw, Poland, we are seeking a talented visual storyteller who can translate scripts, ideas, and creative direction into frames and concepts. This is an opportunity to contribute to an ambitious family-oriented animated production from its early stages and work closely with experienced filmmakers, artists, and animation professionals.

This is an on-site only position based in our Warsaw office.

Responsibilities

• Create storyboards that define storytelling, staging, camera language, pacing, and character performance.
• Collaborate closely with the Director, Story department, and Art team to develop sequences from script to screen.
• Translate written scripts and story concepts into clear, engaging visual narratives.
• Revise and refine storyboards based on creative feedback.
• Participate in story discussions, reviews, and creative development sessions.
• Work closely with Previs and Animation throughout production.
• Help maintain consistency in storytelling and cinematic language across the film.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Storyboarder in animation, film, TV, or related visual storytelling fields.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating drawing skills, visual storytelling, composition, cinematography, and character acting.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly through drawings and visual sequences.
• Strong drawing and visual communication skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Pluses

• Experience working on animated feature films, TV series, high-end game cinematics, or comparable large-scale visual productions.
• Professional experience as a Story Artist, Visual Development Artist, Character Designer, or in a comparable visual storytelling role.
• Experience with character-driven storytelling for children and family audiences.
• Strong understanding of previs, layout, editorial, and cinematic storytelling in 3D animation.
