We're Litio Games, a small remote studio building PARAXIMA - asymmetric co-op investigative horror for PC, made in UE5. Three players, asymmetric roles, a reactive Entity that adapts to how you play. Think paranormal thriller, not jump-scare chaos. We're heading toward Early Access and we need a Senior Game Designer to build alongside our design team.
Not a management role. Hands-on, close collaboration, real design ownership.

About the work
Systemic design is the core of PARAXIMA: designing and balancing interlocking rule sets, not just individual features. You'll prototype with Blueprints, design levels and encounters, write clear and well-structured GDD documentation, and work closely across engineering, art, sound, and marketing for cross-team coordination.

You should have

  • 5+ years in professional game design + at least one shipped title
  • UE5 (or strong UE4): Blueprints at prototyping level - actor components, event graphs, FSMs, data assets, PIE debugging
  • Comfortable reading existing Blueprint graphs
  • Systemic design experience - tracking and balancing changes in interlocking systems
  • Spreadsheet skills for balancing and PoC math
  • Version control (Plastic SCM or similar)
  • Solid level design fundamentals
  • Fluent English (it's our team language) Nice to have: co-op or asymmetric design background, horror/thriller genre familiarity, diegetic design experience, UX design experience.

Who you are
You take ownership of your work and don't wait to be told what the next problem is. You can hold a design conversation with an engineer, an artist, and a sound designer - sometimes all in the same day! - adapting how you communicate without losing precision. You're honest about what's not working and constructive about how to fix it. Remote work comes naturally to you: you stay visible, flag blockers early, and keep your collaborators in the loop without being asked.

Who we are
Remote-first. Multinational (mostly Turkey + Poland). Monday–Friday with daily sync overlap and weekly team playtests. We're a small team and believe in the indie spirit where every member brings the best of themselves to the game. Strong communication, collaborative instincts, high ownership, and proactive thinking matter as much as technical capability here.

Contract: Independent Contractor Agreement (B2B, USD)
Compensation: Discussed privately with shortlisted candidates
