Join the Play of Battle Team - Lead Unity Developer (On-site Only)

At Play of Battle, we are creating an innovative Grand Strategy/RTS game that aims to redefine the genre. We are looking for a highly skilled, tech-savvy Lead Unity Developer to spearhead our engineering team in Warsaw.

This is a true leadership role. As a Lead Unity Developer, you will sit at the intersection of high-level systems architecture and people management. Half of your impact will come from writing clean, scalable code for massive-scale simulations, while the other half will come from mentoring, organizing, and inspiring a talented team of programmers. Your Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the features and components in a game lifecycle, and lead the product design and coding
• Collaborate with other team members in delivering complex features on time and at high standards
• Assist the development process by contributing suggestions for improvements and by driving the quality of code throughout production
• Mentor other developers on the team to help maintain quality of code, products, and processes
• Partner with art, design, and production teams to ensure that goals and schedules are compatible with business and project needs
• Assist with the hiring process for additional team members

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in game development, with at least 1 years in a leadership role
• Strong communication skills as you will work directly with the CEO / Game Director
• Extensive experience with the Unity engine and C# programming
• Strong understanding of game development processes and best practices
• Proven track record of successfully shipping games
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Focus driven player, who works hard and delivers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with burst compiler
• Experience with ECS systems
• Experience with multithreading
• Experience with an architecture that gives support for modders
• Experience with network programming
• Ability to contribute to various aspects of game development beyond traditional programming duties
