PARASIGHT [https://parasight.studio] - is an independent game development studio and the creator of BLACKTAIL, the critically acclaimed action-adventure game inspired by the legend of Baba Yaga.

Our latest title DAVY x JONES, launched in Early Access in 2025, marking the next chapter in the studio's journey.

We are looking for a Narrative Designer / Writer to help shape one of our current projects. We need someone who not only writes exceptionally well, but truly understands games as a narrative medium — and knows how to use gameplay, interaction, environment and player agency to tell a story.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop storylines, characters, world-building and narrative structures
• Write dialogue, scenes, in-game text and supporting narrative content
• Design how the story is delivered through gameplay, exploration and player interaction
• Create and maintain clear, practical narrative documentation
• Implement and iterate on narrative content in collaboration with the development team
• Use playtest feedback to improve narrative clarity, pacing and impact

ESSENTIAL

• 3+ years of professional experience in narrative design, game writing or a similar role
• At least one shipped commercial game
• Portfolio demonstrating excellent dialogue, character writing and interactive storytelling
• Exceptional written Polish and English, with the ability to write natural, distinctive dialogue in both languages
• Strong understanding of storytelling specifically within the video game medium
• Ability to connect narrative, gameplay, player agency and player experience
• Experience working within creative, technical and production constraints
• Clear communication skills, openness to feedback and strong cross-discipline collaboration

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of Unreal Engine 5
• Familiarity with Blueprints and narrative implementation tools
• Experience with quest, mission or branching dialogue design
• Experience preparing scripts for VO production and working directly with voice actors, directors and recording sessions
