Anshar Studios is seeking a Junior Character Artist to join our on-site team and grow with us on
our upcoming projects. Currently, we employ over 180 specialists at our studio in Katowice, and
we are always open to new talented artists eager to join us. Working with Anshar gives you the
opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to challenging international AAA and AA projects,
and collaborate with a team of passionate people who love video games.

Responsibilities:
- Create 3D characters, character parts, props, and accessories that respect project style and
quality standards, working with support and feedback from senior artists.
- Model and sculpt organic assets and hard-surface props - in ZBrush and Blender.
- Prepare and optimize characters for real-time engines: retopology, UV mapping, baking, texturing, and cleanup, while maintaining design quality.
- Implement and test character assets in Unreal Engine, ensuring they integrate well with
provided rigs and function correctly in-game.
- Create PBR textures using Substance Painter or similar tools.
- Collaborate with concept artists, animators, and the Art Director to achieve cohesive
character design.
- Support production with documentation, asset cleanup, and backups.
Requirements:
- Some experience in character or asset creation for real-time - professional, internship, formal
education, or strong personal / non-commercial projects. Extensive commercial game dev
experience is not required, but your portfolio should demonstrate the relevant skills.
- Sculpting and modeling characters (organic and hard-surface elements) using ZBrush,
- Blender, Maya, or similar tools.
- Solid organic modeling and UV mapping.
- Basic PBR texturing (Substance Painter or Photoshop).
- English sufficient (A2/B1).
Pluses:
- Marvelous Designer and garment creation.
- Advanced hard-surface modeling.
- Advanced ZBrush, Blender, or Substance Painter knowledge.
- Knowledge of rigging and its role in character development pipelines.
- Experience with cloth simulation tools in game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine).
- Experience creating fantasy or stylized characters and costumes.
- Formal art education.
- Previous experience in game development or postproduction, including other roles, hobby
projects, or non-commercial projects.
Offered salary:
- 5.000 - 7.100 PLN gross - depending on skills and experience.
