Senior Level Designer

PARASIGHT [https://parasight.studio] - is an independent game development studio and the creator of BLACKTAIL, the critically acclaimed action-adventure game inspired by the legend of Baba Yaga.

Our latest title DAVY x JONES, launched in Early Access in 2025, marking the next chapter in the studio's journey.

We are looking for a Senior Level Designer to help shape one of our current projects by creating engaging levels and taking ownership of them from early blockout through scripting, implementation, playtesting and final polish.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, prototype and iterate on levels in Unreal Engine 5
• Create layouts that support gameplay, exploration, combat and narrative goals
• Shape player flow, navigation, pacing, encounters and objectives
• Implement and script level logic, encounters, objectives and interactions
• Use playtest feedback to improve levels and the overall player experience

ESSENTIAL

• 4+ years of professional experience in Level Design
• At least one shipped commercial title in a Level Design role
• Portfolio demonstrating blockouts, scripting and implemented levels
• Strong practical experience with Unreal Engine 5 and blueprint scripting
• Strong understanding of player guidance, readability, pacing and encounter design
• Ability to develop levels from concept to final implementation and polish
• Strong spatial awareness and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication and effective cross-disciplinary collaboration
